In urban areas and near the city center, this represents an attractive additional income without much effort. The extra revenues finance the owner's parking rent up to 100% of the net fee. Besides the financial incentive, Parking-Sharing relieves the parking situation in big cities because it will drastically reduce the search traffic for a free space. According to official studies, the search traffic amounts to up to 30% of inner-city traffic and increases noise and pollution for local residents.
